As part of improving our Catalogue Events product, we will be introducing normalisedName to artist objects in the events schema. We plan to introduce this change during the week starting February 10th 2025. A provisional schema has been made available in our documentation here, and an example of how the updated artist object will be presented is available as well.
The duration your endpoint must respond with a 2XX status code has increased from 5 seconds to 10 secs. Further details can be found here
Removed 'Australia and New Zealand' from 'originRegion' as we do not currently output this data. Change made on this page.
We have decided to increase and extend the Events error re-try logic from 5 times over the course of an hour to 6 times over 12 hours. This is to give our clients more time to both process events and identify where errors have occurred so that they can be rectified.
The Catalogue Events example and API examples have been updated to include an additional package. The events example specifically shows that a USD currencyCode can be used when we dont have a local currency rate in place. Wherever a label provides a local currency rate to 7digital we'll provide a local currency RRP to our clients, however in the scenario that a label doesn't provide a local rate, we'll default back to a USD rate.
As part of improving our management of ALC permanent download data, we have introduced a requirement to include currencyCode as a query parameter in all calls to ~user/deliveritem. We have additionally mandated the use of retailPrice to ensure we are receiving all relevant information from you. All updates are now reflected in this page: https://docs.7digital.com/reference/credit-item
The Enhanced Metadata Tags page now details all the possible values against each metadata tag. Details of this change can be found here
In the Events Technical Schema, the parenthesis was removed from the subtitle example "Single Version". This is because we pass subtitles through as they are received from Licensors and more often than not, these are not received in parenthesis.
We've published a new guide to help you integrate with 7digital's Content Download Service. You can review the guide here.
